Owner-Operators/Drivers
At F&G, we hire dependent contractors—drivers who are, in other words, owner-operators not classified as employees but who work exclusively for us. While they operate similarly to independent contractors, using their own trucks and equipment, their economic dependence on our company sets them apart. As a result, these drivers may be entitled to certain legal protections and benefits not typically extended to independent contractors.
The scope of work encompasses local deliveries, regional and out-of-town transportation, as well as the handling and delivery of dangerous goods.
F&G is always looking to grow its fleet with quality owner operators.
We are currently accepting applications for:
- Courier vans, 1 ton, Single Axle, Tandem Axle Flat Decks and Cargo Vans
- Hiab and Stinger Crane
- Tractor Trailers
We are looking for drivers that:
• Own their own truck
• Have a clean driving abstract
• Are fluent in English (spoken & written)
• Have a well maintained and mechanically sound vehicle
• Can lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Have previous transportation experience and know the lower mainland
• Have knowledge of transportation equipment (Pallet Jack, straps, etc.)
• Are highly organized
• Are professional, courteous and have excellent customer relation skills
• Are self-motivated and can deal with high pressure environments
• Are comfortable with learning new ideas and technology.

Please note: Information From Previous Employer, along with the Request of the Driving Record from the Previous employer should be printed 3x (or one set per previous employer) for the past 10 years.
